Hi, Could someone explain to me what this means ?
"both front castor arm bushes are seperating"

Thanks

An MOT failure or advisory?

It means the lower control arm (wishbone) needs refurbing or replacing, as its two rubber bushes (the 'pivoty' bits, in board) are shot, allowing too much play.

Probably manifested as negative camber and evidenced by worn inner shoulder of the tyre.

Hi, thanks for answer
I've done a service in a Mercedes dealership and the entire car has been tested and this defect was listed in red. Repair cost nearly £ 400. I wonder if at this issue should hear some knocking in the front suspension because I can not hear anything.

The quote from the dealer is pretty heavy.
Of the x2 lower arms the castor arms are the uppermost. The bushes take a lot of stress when the weight of the car is transferred forward .
It's a case of dropping the arms down, then pressing out the old bushes and pressing in the new.
When they use the term 'separating' they are referring to the metal outer casing of the bush detaching from the rubber.
Best to get them replaced, but not pay £400
