Hi guys, got a few issues & not sure if their related, bare with me I'll try explain :thumb:

Had my Vito auto 2009 120cdi 3yrs and been great but occasionally has gone into limp mode but after a restart all is usually fine, however today engine management light came on after restart and stayed on, also the glow plug light for a short while (but this comes on occasionally for short while anyway, not sure if a separate issue) however van runing normally now, I will get code checked.

i serviced it few months ago myself & noticed wires to a sensor on a pipe near end of air intake were cut!
I repaired it and was fine but since then noticed gone to limp mode more often, again not sure if it's related.

this is the sensor, blue tape where been repaired, what is it for?

out of all the limp mode episodes it has usually been when revved engine hard but recently just when driving normally and engine cold, not sure if recent cold weather is effecting it, but previous winters been fine

it is the crankcase breather sensor.

This is the error code, today engine struggled to start & glow plug light remained on briefly, but engine management light is off now and van drove fine, so I cleared the code and all seems ok, also forgot to mention when it was serviced I noticed some oil on the Orange turbo seal area, not sure if this is normal?

Doing a bit of research I've found their could be a number of different things causing it, cold weather, faulty/blocked dpf sensor, egr, turbo seal etc, not sure where to start?

Blue tape is vent line heater, but your fault code is for dpf pressure sensor, you need to change these and all rubber hoses that go to the dpf, the reason these fail and keep failing is due to the rubber hoses failing internal and damaging sensors, a merc dealer should sell you sensor hoses and clips,

Thanks, I was looking into doing this but couldn't find much info on my vehicle!

is it difficult to diy? and could this have been causing the limp/no power issue all along? as only the most recent event gave this fault code.

The dpf are a fault that we see across all the Vito range, they are diy but the hoses are tricky on the v6 and you will have too remove the Heatsheild above the dpf to feed the rubber hoses in

Andy
