W639 vito remap

Just thought I'd share my recent remapping experience.
I bought a 109 09 plate vito last year, after owning a 350 90 transit the 109 felt relatively nippy. But had always planned to have it mapped as I'll be keeping it long term.
I looked into a number of options with a fair few different companies, in the end I went with Pendal perfornance.
I took it to Martin (the main man) over at Barnoldswick, I dropped the van off and rode the local mountain bike trails whilst he worked his magic.
I was hoping for a good result, but nothing like what I got! It took him about 2 1/2 hours, including rolling road time.
Now the all important figures! Pre map reeding came out at 99bhp, and after is was 174.4bhp (144 @ the wheels)
I have more detailed figures but don't have the paperwork to hand.
The drive us amazing, low down tourqe is unreal! 2200 is it's sweat spot but pulls like a train even well before this, with no black smoke what so ever!!

Would definetly recommend!

Nice ...some serious bhp running through a 109. maybe the figures are put inline with a 115. lm at the understanding that a 109 111 115 the difference's are only juiced up turbo,s and mapping. keep us posted long term.. if the 109 copes.

IIRC the 109 has a different (lower) back axle ratio, so it should be pretty nippy but will be revving higher than a 115 in the cruise.

Yeah it does sit higher on the revs than a friends 115 but the motors are basically the same. Martin said he could take it past 200 but the figures he got are a happy medium so to not damage the engine. Mpg seems to be an improvement too!
