I have a Late 1998 Facelift W202 C200 Classic.

I've got the rear shelf out as I suppose I'll start with the hardest...

Those headrests are a nightmare to get out but a little perservence and bang both out along with the C Pillar covers, the backrest and seat and simply slide out the shelf, job done!

Now I've uncovered two paper coned, 6.5'' speakers, Only one hole either side on this model not two as some people have.

I'd like to put in some 6x9s... the Cover on the shelf seems big enough to accomodate this or at least 2 6.5'' speakers. Has anyone sucessfully done this obviously I'll be amping them up along with the front components, I'll be replacing. I have an LG Bluetooth Headunit with USB in the Front LAC7900 I think the model is...

But if anyone has had success with little modification, which speakers did you use? Swallow mount?

I'd still a sub like in my previous car, but to be fair. I want to keep my Mercedes OEM and rather classy. No boom boxes, just some fake low range bass from some 6x9s will do me, I know it's not the best way, by far a sealed sub is but it's the avenue I'd like to pursue.

Many Thanks for any help.
