@ SPX. The thread about your F-I-L's car was a good read - thanks. Looking around there's still quite a variation in prices for W210 diesels, both saloon and estates. I guess shopping around and patience pays off!

Booster seats would be useful because of the little ones, but I would accept a car without them even though it is on my wanted list. The comand would be good too because of the novelty value but you are right that the technology is dated.
I did see a fully speced W211 2003 that was fully speced and that went for £6,000. It even had a panoramic roof but I really want a W210 with the toys and not W211.
I wouldn't turn down a car without comand as you could just modify the dash to take a double din modern DVD aftermarket with Bluetooth built in.
I've got A w210 double din frame brand new should you need it![]()
I know you`re after a saloon but this estate looks nice 2001 MERCEDES E320 CDI Estate MASSIVE SPEC Xenons, Leather, Comand Satnav etc | eBay

If a saloon comes in the same spec then I would sell but otherwise she drives well and is a keeper
The third row of seats are very easy to fit...so long as you can find a donor car...you must have the belts too. In fact if you remove the rear part of the boot floor (the bit that does not lift) you will find it is made of the two parts that are used when the third row is fitted.
