WANTED: W126 Chrome Bumper Inserts

I am after the chrome inserts for both sides of the bumper front and back. The middle section and the links are OK but the sides have gone pretty bad.

1991 W126 300 SE. Light Blue

Main dealer only unfortunately.

These things rot at an alarming rate and are therefore rare used.

The expensive bit is the large centre section, new you'd probably pick up the corners for around £40 a piece + vat.

front corners are £60 each from dealers, rear side bits are £100 ish and the centres are arout £200. I got a set of front and rear bumpers with chrome for £100 recently so there are deals out there. Ebay breakers tend to know what they are worth and want the earth for them, try and find someone local breaking one or just go to the dealer and have the satisfaction that you will have a brand new piece.

Your probably going to need a grinder to dismantle the bumpers as the funny little fasteners rust quite bad. Then youll need a fitting kit for (hold on to your chair) £96+vat for the front and £77+vat for the rear. Or just use a load of M8 bolts like i did for about £10.

Wow, they've gone up a lot since I last bought a set for my SEC (which used to be more expensive than the saloon).

This sort of thing does not happen all the time, but when it does it feels pretty sweet.

They are off euro bumpers rather than US style bumper?

Yep you might have an issue if they are US bumpers!
