Wanted W210 pre face-lift front wings in 744 silver. Must have good paintwork and be rust free.

Oh, and the moon on a stick please :)

I don't think you'll find original wings for the w210 rust free to be honest

Look on ECP for front wings and have them painted up by your local bodyshop
Try their offer code they are running Save56 may make a considerable discount

That's the best option and they will love brand new

Yeah, didn't think there was much chance, but thought it was worth a try just in case anyone had replaced their wings and then broke their W210.

Figured I might get the moon on a stick too if I was that lucky ;)

I bought brand new from Mercedes at just a tad over £100 each. Waxoyl them and apply hammerite in known rust areas then get them sprayed. (That is if you are keeping the car - worthy investment!)

Thanks for the advice on the new front wings, all.

The front wings on the car actually aren't too bad yet (a few rust bubbles but no gaping holes) but they've been given a 'Halfords Makeover' from a spraycan with no preparation of the existing paint and no lacquer, so they look OK from a distance, but absolutely terrible close up. (And yes, I know I need a new bumper and need to polish the lights too ;) )

So ideally I'd like to get away with not respraying new wings, since the chances are my efforts would be even worse than the mess that's already on there, and tbh the car's not worth the cost of a quality respray yet. Maybe one day when I've done all the welding, replaced the suspension bushes, wheels, bumpers, etc.

One solution if I don't manage to find some decent wings is to sit there and laboriously scratch off the Halfords Makeover with my fingernails or wait for the sun to do the job for me; the paintwork I've exposed so far with a little tentative scratching actually doesn't look too bad...

Ah, now that's a good price.

Good spot :)
