Water Leak E270 cdi

Recently noticed a water leak dripping from gearbox area in 04 plate E270 CDi. Phoned indie garage who advise that this is normal and is only condensate from the air conditioning (which is constantly set to auto). Is this indeed the norm and nothing to worry about?

Recently noticed a water leak dripping from gearbox area in 04 plate E270 CDi. Phoned indie garage who advise that this is normal and is only condensate from the air conditioning (which is constantly set to auto). Is this indeed the norm and nothing to worry about?

Yeah as long as your coolant is not dropping or your water washers then its the aircon. The pipe for aircon runs down the side of the box. Try putting your finger in the wet patch and see if its sticky or smells of antifreeze! If not its defo aircon.
