The water pump on my car has gone and needs replacing. Can someone please get me

1. part no.

2.confirm whether there its worth going to GSF, Eurocarparts or buying original?

3.confirm whether a 300e-24v and 320-24v use the same part

4. roughly how much should part cost and what are the labour hours involved?

Many thanks

Phone a dealer parts department with the VIN and ask them

Phone GSF for a price

3.confirm whether a 300e-24v and 320-24v use the same part

I'd always start with the dealer. Water pumps are not that expensive. Fitting cost depends on the belt path / engine model

Don't rely on EuroCP / GSF knowing / quoting for / delivering the correct part

Allow about 4 hours fitting as it is situated below the inlet manifold and is a sod to get at.

300-24 and the 320-24 use the same pump

Price at Euro Car Parts about £98 give or take.

For preference get one from the dealers, may cost a bit more but worth the expense.

If a Euro Car Parts part number has a zero at the end, it's an OEM-quality part. I checked out Euro and MB dealer prices on the fuel pump for my W126: Euro's price was half that of MB for a Bosch pump. Bosch is good enough for me and, no doubt, is the manufacturer of the MB part. However, in this instance Euro are not listing an OEM part (two KWP pumps, with 1 and 5 and the end of the part numbers).

It's always worth checking. If the MB price is not that much more, I'll go for it, but not when it's double for an obviously high-quality product.

I had my water pump replaced by an Indy about 16 months ago.

Pump cost £139.91 + VAT, and labour was £193.50 + VAT.

Don't know where the pump came from, or what the P/N is though

There are a couple of subtly different types available. best to go to the dealers for this one.

Thinks you may find that the temp setting on that one will be lower than one for a 104 engine. I may be wrong though.

It mentions that it will fit M103 and M104 engines according to the part no listed!

Can someone pls check this part no before i bid on it. Many thanks.

On the russian site in the cooling section for the w104 motor it lists that part no for the viscous coupling. one thing to aware of these fan couplings should always be stored in a vertical orientation to prevent inappropriate fluid movement. http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.as...GM=717.450&CT=M&cat=520&SID=20&SGR=030&SGN=02
