There i am driving around listening to the vibration i have had for a few days convinsed it is the exhaust loose.
After reading lots of posts about vibrations and (gearboxes) i deside to get the ATF checked. Local stealer didn't want to know localish indi said too much oil so took it to my own mechanic who said because the oil was a brown/yellow coluor as found by indi it would be best to change it and the filter so booked in two days later.
When i came to collect the car he said the oil pan was spotless (few) but was suprised at how little oil came out surtainly not 9 litres.
So with new oil and filer e.c.t fitted i set off home and low and behold no more vibration when pulling away.:bannana: :bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

Me thinks me been lucky found out just in time keep an eye on the ATF people.

Good result, but I'd personally be worrying about where the rest of the original ATF had gone. Keep an eye open for leaks.

Or maybe the torque converter didn't drain?

Hi Bill

My guy said he didn't find any leaks as that was his worry too and beeing an Autobox specialist i am confident he will have got the toque converter a bit of a misstery What.

There isn't a drain plug on the torque converter so when you drain it you only get out whats in the sump. to flush the box you have to take an oil cooler pipe off and start the car and let the oil flow into a bucket or similar. You the have to keep topping up the oil until it runs clear red. Hope this helps you.

Just changed oil on both mine and my wifes cars both with 722 gearbox between 3 and 4 litres each came out.
