And before anyone posts it, no jokes about BMW drivers! :D

Don't think we'd need to. The article says it all :D :D :D

That is truly brilliant

Very Funny !! BMW drivers eh ?

at least the mb forum is a more civilised and friendly place to be. that bmw forum had alot of aggression and gangster talk and rather then advising the not so clever bloke wit hthe sock in the engine, half of them were telling him what to do, theres a big difference in advising/telling. anyone i guess the brand goes goes with the image '' GANGSTA'' except for i reckon the 7 series (james bond had one) in tommorrow never dies, i think?

I've seen that sock post on a few car forums now - most recently it was on the MBOA site.

Urban myth or just someone having a laugh?

.....the site you are talking about here is an american site..... If you read the posts on bmwland forum ( british site ) you will see that they are a very friendly, civilised and polite bunch . There are no sarcastic remarks /comments, there are no "put downs" and people respect each others views without taking offence ....have a look and get the general feel of the site, and the warm nature of the people. ;)
