Hi

Just wondering which brand to use on a clk, for comfort and handling. I don't want to go too low, as speed bumps on our estate. Here a picture of her so far

I had Eibach's on my previous car, best springs I've used so far, comfort was hardly compromised if at all, and handling has improved.

You'll get quite a number of H&R recommendations on here, also a great quality spring, but I'd have them as my second choice after Eibach.

Keep us posted on what you go for, pictures are a must of course!

What he said.

I needed new shocks and springs and went with Eibach springs.

Just a bit lower than stock, but it sits beautifully and drives really really well.

Philip, any chance of getting a picture on here? Really interested to see how the CLK sits on them!

I have just purchased the bilstein shock and spring set for the w209 clk, will be fitted this weekend all going well (along with the eibach anti roll bars)

got a awesome price on the lot this weekend will hopefully be D day :D

Might be worth sharing the deal if it wasn't a private purchase :thumb:

www.balancemotorsport.co.uk i got the set for 567 all in and 272.88 for the bar kit best i could find anywhere (without purchasing from abroad), the guy (Julian) is very helpfull, make sure to email them they will give you a better price then whats on the website also is free del on everything over 150 at the moment so that helped too.

H&R springs for me...
Used to have Eibachs on my Ford Focus....
But since had H&R on both my C180K and C63. Excellent ride and much much better handling.

Springs do not lower the car too much at all. Infact in my previous car i had to get the spring pads changed to lowest size to see a significant difference in ride height.

I will see if i can find a pic

here you go, this is with eibach springs and lowest size mount rubber pads.

Looks like it sits high for a Avantgarde?
