Hi all, trying to decide between icarsoft mb II or the autel md802 all systems or 4 systems, just wondered what people use on here and any thoughts? Thanks

icarsoft i980, fantastic for the price. Reads every module on my car - shows distances for parking sensors etc, even shows how many times the windows have been opened

STAR/Xentry

Has saved my literally hundreds in diagnostic fees

I'm thinking of buying a code reader. The question of which one though, is a minefield!

I have an odd issue with the engine (in another thread), which has yet to be diagnosed, but I also need to replace a front suspension strut. Do I need a decent code reader to assist with the replacement strut (drain/refill the system of oil, set it level, etc)? Also, bleed brakes etc. Which code reader then? I was thinking about an Autel MD808, will it be able to perform such tasks?

I'm guessing live data might be useful to have for my engine issue?

If not, I may just one of the basic models.

Hi Tony

There are a few of us looking at a discounted Group buy of the Isoft CR Pro
Advantage is that it is a capable bit of kit, works on pretty much ALL not just MB's (so better man math for the other half's car / the future) and with updates included
Downside is its around £200, which maybe more that you're thinking of investing
Have a look - thread link is below
