I'm preparing for the transmission flush on my C220 cdi 2008 with my local indy who's never done it before so it will be our first time. I've watched quite a few videos and being the idealist I'd like to do it in the best possible way so to maximize the amount of the old fluid drained before adding a new one in order to make the mixing ratio as high as possible in favor of the new fluid. I run across this video at 10:48min and I'm curious what do you guys think about it? I guess he's feeding the transmission through the fluid filter hole, using that thick striped hose? Do you see any benefits/shortcomings in comparison to a more common way of doing it through a cooler return line?
Besides, would inserting fluid under pressure through a cooler return line (on the transmission side) do any good? Would it flush the Torque Converter without starting the car or the fluid would just drop down towards the pan?
