What is the best thing about mercedes!

There are many 'best things' about owning a Mercedes, but one of my favourites is as follows.......

We've all ahad the conversation
'What car have you got then?'
'A Ford.'
'Meh'
'But it's a Mondeo'
'Meh.'
But it's a ST200.'
'Hmmm...'

OR

'What car have you got then?'
'A Mercedes.'
'Nuff said..'

Reminds me of the TG "cool wall" rules: Any car that you have to explain is instantly "uncool".

Following this is my rules for defining a "supercar": If there is a lesser model then it's not a supercar. I don't care how fast your renault megane is or how it will out-accelerate a Ferrari from the 60s, the Ferrari is a supercar and your renault is not. Simples ;)

There is enormous satisfaction in declaring when asked that you drive a Mercedes and that no further explanation is required. Just like Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar and several other brands I could name. I'm not sure that BMW enjoys the same credibility (even if certain brands trade on history!) as these days all the wideboys and boy-racers have BMWs. As do all salesmen (especially where I work!).

What about the Brabus Bullett and Rocket?

Bullett is, in some sense the same car as a C180K is it not? ;) its 100% a Supercar IMO...

I like the fact that they come to pieces very easily. They seem to be engineered to be worked on and are reasonably simple mechanicaly. My neighbours Citroen Zantia looks like an absolute nightmare to work on in comparison. I like the hydraulic valves, the massive chain driving the cams and almost two gallons of oil protecting it all, the oil filter on top of the engine (and the fuel filter). They are a DIY mechanics dream. Oh yes, and they are rather nice to drive as well :-)
