Hello

Having now a car with command, the best feature I find is so far the handsfree car kit. It has a Viseoo in the armrest and seems to work very well.

My wifes car however just has a std head unit? it it an easy swap for a bluetooth model or wrong wiring etc? is there an easy way to add a phone kit.

This is the picture when we collected the car of the headunit to show the type? Audio 20?

Thanks

I would have thought you need a newer unit with bluetooth built in. Does the vehicle have any phone prep fitted? Are there any phone buttons on the steering wheel?

I would check the comand online website or give them a call?

Thanks people.

I guess simply fitting a newer Audio20 that has Bluetooth would not be the easy way,

Cannot imagine why you would spend £300 plus to make this unit work and that's before fitting?

I quite like the idea of the double din unit if I could find one that looks less 'flash' and suit the car better. Certainly a cheaper solution.

All cars have phone steering controls regardless of whether the car has phone pre-wire or not.

Firscon pro or mCar will add phone to the existing Audio 20 but for the cost you may as well upgrade the the NTG2.5 based Audio 20 unit which has full bluetooth built in or even the Comand NTG2.5.

It is a simple install in your car, fitting kit is £129 from Comand Online (check with them for price with forum discount) for cars with no phone pre-wire.
