Hi guys I had my eclass dropped 40mm using lowering springs and after a week to ensure they settled I wanted to get the alignment set as I had disturbed the suspension components, anyways went to a local tyre depot you uses a 4 wheel laser tracker and had it set. Driving home it was pulling to the left and wheel wasn't centred so rang the guy who said to bring it back which I did a week later. Set it again and now it pulls other way an it's doing my head in not sure if they know what they're doing? Guy now says the problem is that car is lowered and that the machine uses factory settings (not lowered settings). My thoughts are that a car should still go straight using factory settings whether car still 40mm lower or higher? Any advice guys

Settings are the same irrespective of ride height, although you may need adjustment bolts to achieve the correct camber now.

Wheels-Inmotion had no probs setting up my 203 after fitting coil-overs with a 25mm drop.

Suggest you find another shop...

Forget laser 4 wheel alignment.

You need to go to someone that has the Hunter Hawkeye Wheel alignment system.

Nothing wrong with your steering. Just the person trying to set it up. I'll second the go elsewhere comment.

If you can't adjust the camber, then the factory settings are NOT appropriate for your car. They will need to adjust the toe angle in order to keep the wear even on the tyres. You need somewhere with experience in adjusting the setup for a lowered car. Not something many of the places appreciate or understand.

Most kwik fit branches use the hunter system now.

Yep, try Kwik Fit for a hunter system (check they are a branch that has the system first of course)

Can certainly vouch for the Hunter system. I had mine done about a year a go and the car was completely different.

Thanks guys will get it booked into mt local kwikfit, is this hunter system 4 wheel tracker or do they just adjust the fronts

Only problem with Kwik Fit is you're likely to get a muppet that doesn't understand the equipment. Better searching for a place that's highly recommended and know exactly what their doing.

I used to train their instructors and sorry to say it was like going back to bare basics so in the end i dropped the training because i didn't want my name on it. Maybe those who were sent to us were in the basic training position but it's scary?

Just wanted to close this topic, thanks kz for all your advice as said I booked it into.kwikfit using the hunter system and car is straight as a die so glad its sorted
