Hi Guys,

Just been making a few enquiries to have my wheels done, they are 11 years old and diamond cut so you can imagine the state of them! Mostly they are black now, not silver....

The Wheel Specialist have just quoted me £360  to paint my wheels!!!

I thought that was way to high!! What is the going rate for a good quality refurb, painted or powder coated, I dont want a man with a van to do it at work, needs to be a proper dip, strip, paint and bake :thumb:

Last time I did my ones it cost me 50 per wheel

I was quoted £55 a wheel locally but believe a company in Kent and Swindon seem the best, total refurb similar price, worth a search on Web. Someone on here will come up with their name.

Lepsons - in Gillingham and somewhere else. Depending on condition of the rims I believe you would be looking around £80 per wheel - but their work is superb!

City Powder Coating in Birmingham.
Full refurb.....£20 per wheel up to 18"
I've used them twice with no issues.

im a fan of diamond cut even though it doesnt last
i think for the spectacular finish its worth it

mine came with the car from the midlands.. however im in Kent and have heard Lepsons recommended several times

Inspraytion in Rochester Kent will do 4 wheels as you have specified for £180.00 total.

Contact number is 01634 717421 or 07977 851714

If you are in Central London try Poshwash, a car valetters based in the NCP on Park Lane. They have a diamond wheel cutting machine inported from the US - and they get stunning results. Prices from £75 per wheel.

That's one hell of a rent they are paying there, hence the £ 75 price tag.

I hate to think what the rent costs, but their results are outstanding. I've known the owner for over 20 years. He started in a backstreet in Paddington and ended up in Park Lane.

Erm, under Park Lane. ;)

I'm also interested in getting my wheels refurbished, but back to the correct Titanium Silver finish. I'd originally intended to entrust them to Rimfurbish, but have been put off by the tales of unpredictable turnaround times, plus the fact that I didn't receive a satisfactory response to an enquiry I made with them some time ago.

A while ago I made enquiries of these people Rimfurbish I spoke to the Rimfurbish part of Rimstock, who make OEM wheels. Prices reasonable at ~£55ea for 17-in and Diamond cut £15 extra. I found them very helpful on enquiries.

In the end though I ended up with replacements, so I now have 3-off used 18-in AMG mono-blocks sitting in the garden as novelty ornaments/pot stands (enquiries welcomed ;-) )

Good luck to him. How long has he been on Park Lane ?

I have been driving around that area for longer than I care to remember. Being In the business I am you usually hear.

About 6 months I think. I've not been there for a while but the kettle was always on and you're especially welcome if you want to talk about Chelsea!

Probably Lepsons. I've used the Swindon branch and was really impressed with the quality of their work.
