AUTODOC ? I bought my Wahler one from there for my E320cdiHi guys,
I'm about to tackle the Thermostat on my E350 and wondered if anyone had a link to a oem Wahler A6422002215 Thermostat without the dealer price tag?
Are any other brands worth considering?
Thanks I'll visit them again but I couldn't see a Wahler one on there last time I looked.AUTODOC ? I bought my Wahler one from there for my E320cdi
Sorry it's a 2010 W212 E350 OM642. I thought the oem number would have been easier.Your cars got a W --- for the model , and it would help us to find one for you if it was included . Autodoc have them but i dont know if you have to have the casting if you dont need the casting just buy the thermostat https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/thermostat-10195/mercedes-benz/c-klasse/c-class-w203
Sorry yes I'm about to do that. I've recently returned to Mercedes after having a dirty BMW.If i were you i would get your profle setup so we can help you so put the W212 and E350 in , the profile is the part under your name on the lefthand side ..I was searching for a 2011 C 180 now its a 2010. .Use the Autodoc site and put your model in on the left .
That's interesting. Yes that seems like the same part. I'll await your findings before I order one.410403.92D cross references to A6422002215 on the wahler ecat. But they say only compatible with the g-wagon. It is on AUTODOC for around £100 which is a decent saving on the merc part but again they say it’s incompatible. All photos I’ve found of the wahler unit are taken from their website!
I need one for my cls 350cdi so actually emailed them earlier in the week to confirm if their catalogue is incorrect. No response yet. So far I’m just getting the slight fluctuation of temperature but holds above 80deg C. The rubber seal breaks down over time.
All the other brands seem to be the same Chinese unit at various price points which I’d rather avoid.
Mercedes in Taunton, Somerset. That was the retail he gave me.Which dealer was that? £150 seems to be the going rate for the usual dealers on eBay.
Just buy the part from Mercedes, it will be the correct specification, will fit, be of good quality and it will work. That's interesting. Yes that seems like the same part. I'll await your findings before I order one.
The dealer price is £105.70+vat so it's still a saving.
The Wahler one is a Mercedes one. Just cheaper hence the point of this post.Just buy the part from Mercedes, it will be the correct specification, will fit, be of good quality and it will work.
How long has the original one lasted?
I realise that the Wahler unit is an OE (or OEM) part but if MB can provide a thermostat then is it not worth the extra cost for the guarenteed specification and fitment, how much did MB quote? The Wahler one is a Mercedes one. Just cheaper hence the point of this post.
No idea how long it has lasted as it's on 127k and I'm the 5th owner. Could be original.
In summary, no.I'm about to tackle the Thermostat on my E350 and wondered if anyone had a link to a oem Wahler A6422002215 Thermostat without the dealer price tag?
Newcastle have it up on eBay for £156. Cheaper to go to my local. I'll just hold off until Richteo gets an answer from Wahler.I realise that the Wahler unit is an OE (or OEM) part but if MB can provide a thermostat then is it not worth the extra cost for the guarenteed specification and fitment, how much did MB quote?
It might be worth contacting MB Newcastle on eBay. They have their own online sales section and can be very competitive
Your choice of course!
Good luck
The Wahler part number is also on Carparts4less for £132 using the MID20 discount code.410403.92D cross references to A6422002215 on the wahler ecat. But they say only compatible with the g-wagon.
