Where to buy parts from

Hello everyone,

A quick question from a newcomer - where to get original parts from? Is there official UK distribution channel to get parts from or how does it work?

I got myself WIS so I know the names of parts that I need. However, is this enough, or do I need to get MB part number from EPC?

One of the parts I need is: 1661410180 (throttle body gasket) and I cannot find it anywhere online.

There is a well known and official distribution channel for original Mercedes parts in the UK, the dealer network

I really doubt that a throttle body gasket is going to be expensive from the dealer. There are also a number of independent retailers selling Mercedes parts (Look up Euromerc for one) and many parts of course are not made by Mercedes but are sourced from outside suppliers.

More than 99% of Euromercs parts are genuine MB parts. If they are not , it clearly states so

The merc dealer parts dept list it at £3.42 including VAT.

You will likely need to go in and order it and pay, and collect two days later.

Try a request at www.partsreunited.co.uk good way to get genuine parts and compare prices of different dealers.

Most of the time just searching google with the part number (put an a infront of the number) will find you any retailers with the part or ebay listings etc.

Try Dronsfield Merc Spares. I have used them twice so far with very positive results. Check them on web or 0333 240 1020.
