Where to get a 124 estate rear screen??

Hi

Some botten rastard through a brick through my wife's rear screen on her 124 estate.

A new one from MB is £264 anyone any ideas where to get a cheaper one or anyone breaking one?

She phoned her insurance and they said only the front windscreen is covered.

They also told her the car would probably be written off if she claimed for rear screen. Lol hilarious

Yeah,had the same happen to me,insurance covered it,and even sent the AA
out to secure it until they could get the glass.

Managed to pick one up this evening. £30
Includes the wipee motor and screen rubber.

Well pleased.

Do you know how to fit a rubber sealed screen. Use string round the seal, locate it into the aperture at the bottom, then pull the string round to pull the seal over the metalwork.

Yes thanks I have fitted a few before to old Fords.

My late father was a coach builder and glazed buses at a time so some of his skills and knowledge was passed down.

That doesn't mean I wont mess it up though.
