all advice will be appreciated

Thanks

Interested in the answer to this, however, is it not easier to order the rubber pads from Amazon or similar?

Considering you're not going under the car you can jack it up, place one stand there and leave the jack in place for added security? Just make sure you don't go under the car...

thank you for your advice. No i won't be going underneath the car but where would you place the axle stand? where would you advice placing them

I would have though under the lower suspension arm, behind the hub?

I've always put the stands under the rubber Bush in the chassis of the front lower arm . Not on the length of the arm itself as they run off at an angle.

TBH 'Axle stand' is a bit of a misnomer these days as most cars have not got an axle strong enough (or horizontal enough) to safely use a stand like the ones pictured.
A throw back from when the rear axle ran in a straight one piece casing from the rear diff.

It should have a jacking point at the front . Right in the middle of under covers. Look for a rubber block.
