Which OBD2 Unit?

The 722.7 auto gearbox on my A160 has gone into limp mode and I'm thinking of having the valve body repaired.
Can anyone advise me of an OBD2 diagnostic unit, either hand-held or PC laptop based, that will read the deeper mercedes fault codes such as P1887 to P1889, or show equivalent codes?
I don't want to waste my money on a unit that only shows the top-level codes, but neither can I afford a clone Star unit.
I guess £175 for an Autel EU702 is about my limit, but I can't tell if this unit will show the codes such as I mentioned above?
Cheers
Michael

I have the Autel eu702 and I find that works just fine.

What is is you are trying to do? If is just reading the codes have a chat with a local indie most will agree a very reasonable cost to read and clear.

I think you will struggle to find anything that deals with the transmission manufacturer faults from a hand-held.
You might want to search the US forums for the pc ones as they seem more popular there.
