Which will be fastest?!

Bugger!

As Greg asked, have you had the car lowered since before?

Get those mirrors folded in too!

I wish you the very best of luck. If the cars stated are the only ones that are tuned then I reckon the Murcielago 1st, F40 2nd and a tough call between your good self, the DMS 996 turbo and the 996 GT2.

I've asked and its the 685 BHP GTR version !!

Its still very ugly and will probably go bang halfway down the runway.

Oh well...

I don't think the Ultima is ugly, it does exactly what it's supposed to. A CL65 is three times the price. The chevy engine is probably more reliable than the merc unit given it's extensive applications in the US.

Spectators allowed? How about photographers?

OK, not a win (yet) as such, but next weekend me and markbe (SL600 Kleeman) will be running with this little lot at Bruntingthorpe air field,

Should have seen if you could have organised some proper footage - something tells me Guy Dewdney might haver been able to help there.

Rather like the old M5 advert, everyone gets excited about Maffs car doing 208mph or something on the track meanwhile Guy has to overtake him on the grass in his Navara at 250mph in order to film it ;)

EDIT: this is the one: http://www.braspenning.nl/video/bmwm5.mpeg

whilst standing in the rear load bay, using a combination of string pulleys to steer with his feet. Mind you, could be worse!

I think the CL65 will do it. but take all the seats outs ('cept the drivers of course) and any excess weight. at least that way, you get to accelerate quicker and get more room to get a top speed.

I should have brung the scumbag machine. see what is does in pure factory spec. just for interest like.

The traction control did kick in as it changed from 3 to 4th today. came as a shock that did. Frightened the life out of the poor guy from the gym, who had badgered me for a quick run round the block 2day. He said if his numbers come up this weekend he will buy it off me.

The results are;
Ultima gtr (although G Man often dosent go flat out!).

Benze 1
benze 2
993 ruf
F 40 (cd of a brick)
911 gt2 (modified)
911 gt2 (modified)
Lambo Murci'
Benz 55 kleemann
Fun thing is,there will be more wings removed by 911's in an attempt to go faster, now the Benzes are 'marching'.
Mark.

The ultima might be quick but it doesnt come anywhere near the acceleration felt when the first pair of after burners kicked in at 600mph then the second pair kicked in at 900mph taking us to 1350 mph ;) those were the days......

that reminds me, i often hear how good the brakes are on Porsches, but they dont stop you anywhere near as well as the floor does. and have you noticed you always stop quicker the higher it is you fall?
