Ultima did show up, but not sure what happened to that. There was a very strong head wind, and I can only think that ironing board like rear spoiler slowed it down quite a bit.

LOL, the Ultima was there, but Gareth (driver) was running a LOT of rear wing due to the winds, so ultimately (sic) his top speeds weren't as good. Also, he got a telling off from the owner of Bruntingthorpe due to the noise.

There was a highly amusing story Gareth told us of his arrival at Brunters. He came to breakfast then shot off to get some cash for the burger van. On the way to the track he overtook a battered old Escort on a slight corner, which the Escort driver took great offence of. However, the next corner was somewhat tighter. Gareth flew round it and the Escort carried on going, understeering through a hedge and ending up in a field. Gareth pulled over and called the police. When they arrived he explained what had happened, and took a look at the be-tracksuited bunch. "Bloody chavs..." he muttered under his breath.....

A great day out, if a little cold. I managed 146 (I think?) in the SL, but there was one heck of a head wind up the straight.

quite right too. you dont want the lower powered girlie performance standard spec. get it fully upgraded.

might even do a discount on the price so you can have more to spend getting it upgraded.!!! more really good reasons.
