Who has used the MB First Aid Kit?

Following on from the thread about who still has the original kit (both still in our cars), I thought I'd ask who has ever used it. We haven't in over 15 years of MB.

I needed to use the plaster from one in my Mum's W202 when I was at Uni...

Are they not more of a prophylactic? :)
Are you suggesting that MB First Aid kits can be used in place of condoms?!!! Or worse still that stuffing the bandages into certain parts of the anatomy would be effective in the spread of STDs?!!!!!

As the Dutch say "if the cap fits you better use it" :D

I did in my 1983 380SEL last year. BTW, I am from Brunei in South East Asia. Myself with 4 friends decided to drive from Brunei to Kuching in Sarawak (1,000km one way). On our way back, decided to stop by a roadside stall for some durians (local fruit which westerners could not stand the smell nor taste). Unfortunately, one of my friend banged his head against a durian that was hanging by the stall and started to bleed quite badly. Used the cream, plasters, gauze, bandage & safety pins (surprised that they can still be used after 28 years) to stop the bleeding. Then drove on to find a pharmacy to get proper medication. Only complaint is that Mercedes should include a pair of scissors with the First Aids Kit.

So, durians smell and taste funny (to us) and can cuase injury if not treated with respect?

imagine a conker with its outer shell still on but about 20 times bigger, armour plated and covered in nobbly bits like a clerics mace!

if its old and not been used then dont expect the plasters to be sticky anymore! ;)

You used safety pins to stitch the wound back together. Impressive.

Gotta watch those durians... can't be trusted.

There is a roughly 10 years used by date on it haven't they?

Not that expert yet. We used the safety pins to hold the bandage in place as the plasters are no longer stickyhttp://www.MBClub.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

Every MB first aid kit I have seen does include a pair of scissors .
