Why the different wing mirrors on c63's??

Why are wing mirrors different on some c63's to others?? I'm not talking about pre facelift compared to facelift. Or saloon to coupe. I'm talking about some of the same year I've seen with different indicator arrangement.

Some might have been fitted aftermarket or that other 58 plate might have been sat in storage for a year before being registered.

Old style mirrors used across the 204 C range from initial launch.

The slash ones are newer so should only be very early ones with the large indicators

This is the "correct" one for all pre-facelift C-class cars. Looks like someone has updated the wing mirrors on your 58 plate to the facelift version...did you buy it used?

Yeah brought it used. I find the newer ones look to busy. Like they've tried to make em look like something you buy from halfords lol.

Looking through the cars up for sale on the Internet it looks like maybe 08/58 was the change over year in the styles of mirrors. Some 08's have the newer ones, and some 58's have the older ones.

Yes, believe it was some time in 2008 and not part of the 2010 facelift. I much prefer the later arrow mirrors to the early W204 ones.

Correct. It was nothing to do with the facelift, it occurred in mid-2008.

I collected my W204 from the factory in February 2008 and it had the original "dumbo" mirrors which gave great visibility.

Lol. Now someone's called em dumbo mirrors I'm not sure if I want to.

Didn't really notice how much smaller the later ones are. That means my cars faster than yours Bruno! More wind resistant!!
