My missus isn't keen on driving fast. Has yet to break the 70mph limit. Doesn't mean to say she "can't" drive a fast car, just prefers something more sedate.
Doesn't make me sexist.

I suspect in reality the joke is more about people's another halves not necessarily being petrolheads so us lot worrying when our partners drive our cars. Just so happens to be a male dominated forum that's all.

Last time my wife drove my car She, obliterated the front carbon splitter, Smashed the front bumper "just been painted" and cracked the windscreen all in 2 days doh....

bigger the car the better for my wife but I'm the one who smashed the front end up when i ran over a deer....all in 10 sec
£1800 damage.

When women enjoy driving fast cars, AMG, BMW Motorsport, Porsche and Ferrari will register as many new cars to women as men.

Until that century arrives, let's acknowledge what really goes on in terms of women's enthusiasm to actually drive powerful cars. Some certainly do (see below), most don't.

There are plenty of women who like (Mrs Gnome would have had a SLC43 if we could have found one) and can drive fast cars well.

So presumably your husband lets you drive his cars.

Not that the boss cant drive fast I've followed her in her old Uno with only three wheels on the road round the bends it;s the ambivalence towards cars generally!
