I would stay with my E300TD and use 10/40 semi-synth.
To use anything of a lesser spec is false-economy.

This is actually what Fuchs just told me. Not in stock though but worth the 9000 miles, perhaps when I got it priced.

I think this is the £19 per 5 litres - so is going to work out about the same per mile as using the 10/40 semi synth over 5 or 6k mile changes. I am running my non turbo OM606 on the semi synth 10/40 Fuchs with 6k mile intervals FWIW.

Still waiting on the price? I called again yesterday late afternoon and they still didn't know. I find this odd that the main supplier near me, well, 25 miles away, don't know the price of their product, even if they don't have it in stock.
