Will this gearknob fit 5spd W208?

Hi guys,

Think i put up a post here before about the terrible condition of my gearknob, my car is a 5spd facelift (avantgarde) clk.

Another member has shown me the 1 below as a possible replacement, it is for a 6 speed though.
Does anyone know if the fitting is the same between the 5 + 6spd?

no thats specifically an A class knob.

A little confused now - in the description it says W210 E class knob..

It will fit on the shaft fine but the leather/plastic surround might not fit your car. You may have to modify it slightly.

I think it is a W210 knob though.

ahh sorry I was looking at an A class one earlier on the site and somehow got confused..

In all fairness most the W210-W208 stuff is interchangeable... the only way to really check is to put your vin in here and find the part number.

Perhaps someone can confirm if the bit that says avantgarde and the gears can be changed for a 5 speed version like Unil needs.
