Windows Vista

Good timing - my Dell/Ebay machines turned up yesterday....I'll try this method of installing.

I finally managed to get some copied of Vista Ultimate and Office Ultimate. Seem ok to me, both run really well on my Mac. ;-)

BTW - Amazon.co.uk are selling cheap OEM copies without restrictions.

just bought the Compaq presario for daughter with vista great up to now ......if ms want to spy on her its OK ....all she goes on is cbbc ...nick/jr ...and Disney.....

Having installed the Home Premium edition onto my laptop, I am so far quite pleased with it, most things worked straight away and I only needed to find a driver for the built in web cam.
The only real complaint I have is with Active sync not working on Vista and "Windows mobile device centre" and "Sync centre" in the control panel will not let me connect my XDA Exec to my laptop. Speaking to O2, they tell me it will not work with Vista and have no updated drivers and do not expect to fix this problem. That will be the death of the XDA in my eyes. what use is a PDA if it won't work with a PC?

Go Figure!

My daughter has just bought a laptop with Vista Home Premium. I use a wireless network at home. The laptop can see the network but wont connect. The router is an Addon WBR9200M. It is WEP protected. Addon assure me it works with Vista but I may need to change some settings on the laptop. I think it may have something to do with the "Public/Private network settings but I can't find how to change this. All other settings are the same as on my laptop which is running XP. I can connect through cable but not wireless.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I am getting it in the neck from my daughter
