Wings and wheels

Went to my first wings and wheels event at Dunsfold, today. What a great event with a chance to see some lovely warbirds and a great assortment of cars, new and old.

I was there all day yesterday on Aerobilitys stand, showing people over one of our aircraft.,
Did you see the display by our Yak52? Also Guy Westlake in the Fox glider does flights for disabled people, normally FOC.
Great air display, but I didn't get to see much of the wheels part.

Yep saw them both,The glider was great not seen that before, shame the afternoon turned wet. Hope today is better for those that go

Nice pics. I assume the paint scheme on that Typhoon is to do with the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain?

yes it's part of the memorial flight.

I wasn't there, I was at the MotoGP qualifying, and saw one of the display aircraft, the Vulcan, which flew just to the East of Silverstone, presumably on its way to Dunsfold.

I was at Dunsfold yesterday, unfortunately, the Vulcan never made it to Dunsfold - it had to turn back due to bad weather enroute.

The rest of the displays and stands were good though so all an all an excellent day especially as the weather held good.

I was referring to Saturday, when presumably the pic of the Vulcan in the OP was taken?

Sorry misunderstood. Apparently, the Vulcan got down as far as Oxford on Sunday before turning back so would have flown over Silverstone then.

It may well have done, but as I said, I saw it Saturday..............

Yes, the pics where taken on Saturday. The Vulcan tracker said it ruined around near Milton Keynes on Sunday and landed around 2:30 in Doncaster

We managed to raise about £1000.00 for Aerobility on our stand. - Just thought you would like to know.
