Winter protection for the C63

Carried out the winter detail the other day. Had to get the bonnet resprayed first after the mother of all stone chips from on my way down to Trax, then treated her to the works.

Wash
Tar removed
Clay bar
Polish
HD WAX
New AMG mats
Quick clean under the bonnet

I hate stone chips! Lol. Iv got a few on my bumper and bonnet from the other week, there such an eye saw when you know there there.

Gutting to see on a car that gets polished almost every weekend.

Where did you have the bonnet resprayed if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers mate! Tell me about it, can't stand stone chips. It's my dad's friend who has his own spray shop in the Manchester area. He did the bonnet, front bumper, blew it into the front wings and the rear bumper for £250. Unbelievable!! He's done a great job. Must have owed my dad a pint or two from back in the day! Ha

That's what I can see myself ending up having done to mine!

Like everyone else I want a mercedes quality paint job for half the price! Haha. It's just finding someone you can trust with your pride and joy.

Looks like he's done a cracking job there mate and for that price I would say he's a very good friend of your dad's. Lol

i polish mine and use gloss protect either auto glym or autobright stuff ...and when i wshed it i found a little mark on the boot lid on the right of the number plate, Gutted its like a round piece missing and the laquer has come away around it..i called out chips away to hopefully say they could just do a repair but with the laquer off around it he would need to blend it in..which absalutly gutted me ....the thought of it lol.
but i suppose i will stop trying to figure out how and when it happened and get it redone at a body shop instead.
