Hi All,

Where is the cheapest place to get Bosch or Valeo wiper blades?

I just drove Mrs Ice's w204 and they were terrible. Even once cleaned they still were rubbish.

I guess they have to be specific to w204 fitting rather than generic flat blade? Shame Asda had some cheapy blades for a couple of quid!

You could try eurocarparts, buy and pay online to qualify for the MB Club discount.
Enter mbclub25 at checkout. (mbclub30 doesn't work on wiper blades).

Whatever you do, don't fit flat blades, they are rubbish for both noise and fitting the curvature of the screen.

However they are a manufacturers delight, due to being much cheaper to make.

ECP have 30% off wiper blades with code 30NOW

Original blades are only £26. They are fine and don't exactly break the bank!
Get them from your local mb dealer

I agree.

They will even fit them for you for FREE!!

It'll have flat blades as standard. My car has them, they're fine. I did fit them as replacements for daughter's Colt and they weren't good on that but it does have a very long (26") driver's wiper. I think the pressure along the wiper was uneven so it was dragging in places and lifting in others.

If you are in a hurry , Halfords stock Bosch wiper blades .

As above euro car parts with 31% off today!

Drifting slightly off topic, anyone have any tips on how to stop wiper blades squeaking?

Get a diesel and you will not be able to hear them allegedly.

Give the blades a wipe down with white vinegar, if that does not work, replace them, as the man says, with MB parts.

Colin.

Thanks Colin. I'll try the white vinegar wipe when SWMBO gets back from her sunny drive.

I have found even brand new genuine Mercedes blades judder on the return downward sweep. Despite Mercedes blades being made by Bosch, I have found Bosch Aerotwin 2 x 24in blades from Halfords are actually much smoother and quieter.

Just so people know, MBCLUB30 now works on wiper blades. I bought a Bosch Ar24U flat blade for my mono wiper this week, online price £13.14, after discount £9.20 :bannana:. Seems a great wiper - I've been pretty happy with the £3-4 eBay ones in the past, but this one seems even better. Don't touch the Asda £2 flat blades, they get a very bad press.
However, the wiper is sticking a little (it was doing so before I changed blades)...must be time to grease that mechanism again

i recently bought a replacement for my W210 and thought I'd see how much Merc charge.....pleasantly surprised when they quoted me £10 + VAT :)
