Wipers not working

Hi no I didn't open it up just put power to it and the arms were moving fine as they would if on car .

LOL i was just replying when i refreshed and saw you'd solved it thank goodness because i was going to suggest licking the plug connecting to the motor to see if there's current.

Actually not such a bad idea i could have rigged up a test light to see if there was anything at the plug.

Hmm, forcing wipers to park position was not a good move, might have damaged something there.
I do understand why this should interfere with interior lights.
It looks like you may have to have it looked at.
