Wipers slow/stopping on an SLK

Hi, I have done a search and found loads of info for single wipers but I have twin.
The wipers are stuggling to wipe the screen. The garage I got it from are happy to have it back but I can't get it there till Friday and I'd really like to be able to use the car in the meantime.

Has anyone had this problem on the R170 and is there any thing I can check.
It happens on both speeds and even lifting both blades off the screen doesn't help.

Either the mechanism is binding or the motor is. Remove the motor and move the mechanism by hand to se i fit is seized.

Thanks, I'd tried to get the arms off yesterday to have a look but they were very stuck. I left them to soak in WD40 overnight so I will try again today and look at the binding.

Thanks again, had to use a puller to get the arms off but after disconnected the rod from the motor, the motor is fine but the spindles were solid.

I then took the link between driver and passenger off and found the passenger side is stuck solid.

I have left this off so the drivers is fully working and can now let the garage know so they can get the part in.
