Would these wheels need spacers?

Chris is it a good idea anyway to be running these alloys with 25mm spacers?

Yes it's fine but at that width I would suggest the type that bolt to the hub (then the wheels bolt to the adapter).

ET37 front > 10mm SCC12168 ~£100
ET31 rear > 27mm SCC13055S £143.35
Plus
8x front bolts RAD4128 @ £Xea
8x rear bolts RAD4052 @ £2ea
Hybrid Locking bolts @£50

Good luck!

thanks Chris for such a detailed briefing...wondering if this needs to be done by a specialist because the garage I took the car, they just tried to fix them with the wheel nuts...no mention regarding the spacers/adaptors etc..
I am staying close to Manchester..any garages you would recommend?

also, tried a search on Alloywheeldirect for the spacers you recommneded...couldnt find the matching spacers...
please tolerate my ignorance as I am new to the alloy world...

10mm SCC12168 - what does SCC mean?

8x front bolts RAD4128 - what does RAD4128 mean?

Hi
They're part numbers of the items I would recommend. There's a SCC retailer on post #16 who should be able to hlp with all the items you need.

Hi Chris,

I checked the rear wheel offset for the existing original wheels and they are 37.
In fact thats the same offset for all wheels - front and back.
would I need 27 mil spacers for the rears then?
whats your opinion?

The new alloys are wider on the back so they need a different offset. You need a minimum of 25mm spacers on the rear, Chris has suggested above you use 27mm.

Thats right npuk, the new ones I have got is offset 58. I believe Chris mentioned 27 since the standard Merc factory fitment is 31.
58-31=27.
I am not sure why I am having 37 fitment already on ym car...this is the original set I had..I hadnt upgraded from 31 to 37.
wouldnt that leave me with 58-37=21 mil spacers...??

Just a thought that went through my mind...am I correct in assuming this? thanks for your help npuk...

Forget what is on the car now ET37 is correct for the standard wheels on your car now as they are not the same width as the new ones you have. The new alloys are WIDER on the rear so need a different ET which is ET31.

Your looking at it wrong. You want ET31 on rear. The new alloy is ET58, using a 27mm spacer will make it ET31 (58 - 27 = 31).
