Apart from the noise I cant see anything that's better in the 204 E63 than the 205. Time moves on and (generally) things in the car world get better as it does (EVs aside of course!).....each to their own though and I know that @Skd884 would prefer a lawn mover over most cars if it was 156 powered!!

After an E63 biturbo, that 204 is backward step.
Certainly won't provide more thrills.

Well after a couple of days away from the thread & now reading all the comments i've ditched the 205 idea & i'm gonna stick with what i've got for the time being. Hopefully in a year or so the later generation E63 will be more affordable.
I do like the look of the 205 but they're not big enough in my opinion - i do like the 204 but decided against buying one of those before buying the E63 over 4 years ago - yeah the 204 looks & sounds epic but in all honesty, other than the seats the interior doesn't do it for me.
I'm gonna keep my eyes on the values & hope they come down sometime soon.
Plus, the E63 is booked in for new discs & pads up front next week so there's little point in changing it after that expense..

I'm not far from you in Ferndown and looking for a specialist to service my SL63. Would you recommend Project AMG? I've used PCS in the past but its a bit of a trek compared with Verwood.

Yes, 100% - call them & ask for Adam or David, they know me well so feel free to say you saw the post on the forum & they'll bend over backwards to help - they've just serviced my car & they're replacing the front disc & pads next week.
