Quite. And thou shouldest not use them unless there is less than 100 metres of visibility. A tiny hint of mist constituteth-not a whiteout.

Amended version of above...

Thou shalt always turn off thine fog lights once visibility is good enough to not need them.....and thou shalt never use them in rain NO MATTER HOW HEAVY it is and though shalt only use them in fog (NOT mist and must be less than 100m visibility) or heavy snow (lighting regs Section 14 1977 and highway code!!!)
