Something that has long puzzled me is exactly what causes a URL to enter and stick into the drop down list of recently visited sites. :dk: I've searched online but guess I'm not asking the correct question

does anyone use a programme that will hide your ip address,ive tried several but they all slow the internet connection down to an intolerable speed.
