I've just purchased a 2006 (pre facelift) E320 Cdi estate. It's my first Merc and I'm loving it so far. However, my wife isn't too keen on the emblem on the front of the bonnet. Is it possible to replace that with the flat badge version? If so, where's the best place to look and are they all of...
I want to replace my V8 Kompressor badges as they are not straight, and that is annoying me.
Couple of questions.
Does the word Kompressor line up with with bottom of V8, or in the centre?
Are the two S's in Kompressor supposed to be larger than the rest of the word? I assume if so...
I know there are a few threads discussing the removal of badges but they are rather long and became a little heated with regards to whether badges should be removed or not. I thought I'd post a few pics showing how I got on removing the BLUE EFFICIENCY badges. I'm not saying this is the best...
So I've recently updated the front of my car I was never convinced on the star badge grill but after I colour coded it and the theme of the car being silver and black it looked better than I thought I'm not sure putting the original grill back on painted gloss black (no chrome on the car) would...
Harry's Garage has just put up a tantalising review of a 2,000 mile drive in a Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge
Can't stand 'em myself (stars in the roof lining FFS), but it's a remarkable drive / review, the drive around the Swiss passes reminds us all that there are roads out there still to be...
Seen a 'new' C Class recently with the model designation on the back in Black and not the standard Chrome. Assume this would have to be done professionally?
Anyone know where to buy a full set of badges for a W211 E55? I have just bought a de-badges one and would like to fit them back on. The dealer is very ££££
Thanks
Genuine Mercedes-Benz under-bonnet locking part - brand new, manufactured 12/2016.
I bought a black badge from MB Newcastle - this was part of the kit, however my fitting is different, and I have no use for it.
£5 delivered.
Genuine Mercedes bonnet badge for W169 W245 R203 R171 and many others (please check your existing one for compatibility).
This is the type that simply pushes in, with two vertically (in relation to the star) positioned pins, without the locking part underneath.
It is in absolutely as new...
Anyone else, with a black car presumably, considering swapping their existing dark blue / navy bonnet star (the flat one) for the new Mercedes black one?
I always felt the blue badge, on an otherwise monochrome car, looked a tad out of place ...
Just been following a new C43 round the M25 and couldn't figure out why it looked different ......... after a while I realised the C43 and AMG badges were on the opposite sides of the boot lid than the usual placing. Is this the same on all C43s or has the owner tried to differentiate his from...
So I've bought an genuine AMG grill badge (thanks Phil) :thumb:, as per photo one - was it an expensive bit of plastic? - don't ask .
Photo One
It fixes to the black plastic strip in between the silver "blades" shown in photo two, using two self tapping screws, driven through the strip...
I have a 1995 (built late 1994) E220 Cabriolet - a "second facelift" A124. On Christmas Day I managed to chamois the bonnet and catch my coat sleeve on the "gunsight" type Mercedes-Benz star badge, and break it off.
Got a fake version for £11.49 on eBay. The parts visible above the bonnet...
A set of front AMG brand new replacement seat badges. Great if your badges have snapped pins or have gone that gold colour they all do over time.
You cant just glue them back on as the pins actually pull the leather is with the paper type fasteners at the back. Therefore new badges are always...
I need a replacement star at the rear. Being Sunday I haven't tried Mercedes for a quote, so Thought I'd jump on here and see where is the best place to obtain one. Are they expensive?
Thanks in advance
Out for a wee walk at lunchtime I saw not 1 but 2 Chrysler 300Cs with Bentley style grills one of which had the cheek to be sporting a Bentley badge.... I wonder how many folk are fooled into thinking a 20 year old E-Class in a new frock is actually a Bentley ( VW in a posh frock )...
So the CLS I bought is a 55k but was badged as a 6.3. I bought some 5.5 AMG badges for the wing, but OE is V8 Kompressor ... Should I put these on instead? (Don't want to de-badge)

Hi all,
Went out to the car this morning and noticed these white marks on the badge in the centre of the alloy wheels. Checked every tyre and noticed the same thing, all appear on the MB badge.
I bought the car from an MB main dealer and have had it one month. They definitely weren't...
