Some idiot flying through the lanes. I'd actually stopped because I could see this idiot coming. Hit my mirror. Glad to say theirs shattered into a thousand pieces.
Best thing was I stopped they stopped. Went to speak to the driver, then went back to move my car (blocking road a little) and...
Hi
A specialist told me my suspension needed repair, the car is under a T1 warranty (the specialist had no expectation of making the repair so I'm fairly confident in his motives)
MB said 'there is play in the suspension but it's not enough to fail an MOT (their own MOT specialists) so...
Hi all,
Apologies for the long first post but I have been having a nightmare with my 1998 C200 W202 Elegance.
I went on holiday for 3 weeks and when I came back it would not start.
The remote key would not open so I used the manual one to get in via the drivers door. I cannot get the...
The damping on my glovebox lid is broken. Opens and closes ok. I've found some info on how it works on a W203, but not on a W204. Any one have access to the MB workshop manual that can give me some hints on how I can fix it ?
Thanks
W203 glovebox damping info ...

N.B: MB dealer quoted me £300 pounds for replacing the front pair (it says, 2 white 1 blue 1.2 each total 2.4 hours)

hi all
this is my first post on here so apologies in advance if I did something wrong :)
My old trusty 2001 E-class 220CDi Mercedes has developed somewhat of a luck of boost syndrome recently. When I press the accelerator I can hear the turbo whistling noise kicking in but not much power...
Hi guys. New to the forum. Was just wondering if any 1 had ever changed the rear spring or does the shock have to be done aswell. Is it possible to do at the house? Thanks in advance
Hi
Hope someone can help, the Driver's side interior door opening lever has broken on my C Class W204 2009 model, day before the MoT Due typical!!!
Mercedes are saying a replacement can only be bought with a new door card at £535 + VAT (Heck!!!) Obviously want to try and avoid this for...
Anybody had any experience in replacing the lower front grille on a W207 coupe. Mines broken and I have bought a new one and need to change it. Looks like the whole sodding bumper may need to come off though !!
Any suggestions or experience ??!
Not been a happy bunny for the last 2 weeks as the car has been off the road due to the idler pulley for the fan belt breaking in half, a common problem on these im told.
Luckily i had only just started the car and was only a mile or so away from home. Could have been a lot lot worse if it...
I know  all I seem to post now are tales of woe about the W204! A recent thread on the Mercedes-Benz Club alerted me to this issue. Evidently the door handles on recent Mercedes are made of plastic instead of metal and prone to fatigue fracture. So far so good-- BUT ---...
In the cars I've had over the years servicing has always been an oil change followed by a check up.
The thing is, in my opinion 100% of my car mechanical failures in life have either been time related consumables or an issue that was invisible to servicing.
Let's face it, I bought a full...
i dont know if i can put this on here but i am going to be breaking a 1998 e300td avantegarde 7 seater estate it has electrical gremlins and would cost to much to put back on the road any questions please message me
First off, get the superior, correctly tempered Eibach replacement spring rather than the Merc original.
This job needn't be the repair from Hell - read on.
There are two 'conventional' methods of getting enough clearance to insert the (compressed) new spring - you can :
1) - Drop the inboard...
When I started driving I noticed that every 10 seconds the car was making a noise similar to the noise of not released handbrake and at that point I felt that the car was shaking slightly. So after about 500 meters I stopped and checked the car and noticed that it the front driver's side is...
On returning to my Mercedes E Class Estate parked in a busy Brighton Multistorey yesterday after a family Christmas outing, I was horrified to find one of the rear windows totally gone.
Looking inside, twinkling in acres of my pale grey leather back seat was a mountain of smashed glass...
