    Uk motorists short changed again!

Euro NCAP have published results of a survey of cars fitted with ESP as standard. The UK languishes at the bottom of the table with the Netherlands, Greece,Malta and Ireland. :( http://www.chooseesc.eu/download/press/EuroNCAP%208_May%20ESC%20Brochure.pdf Mercedes comes out quite well.:) :)...

Autocar.co.uk forums have changed - and not so sure it's for the better ...yet

Anyone ever stop by the forum on www.autocar.co.uk? I do when I have chance but not a regular visitor by any means, although I don't miss a copy of the magazine. It seems they've binned the old forum which was very flat (in design, not content) in favour of a new one which seems to have lots...

Anyone changed the plugs themselves on a CLK 55?

I can detect a very slight misfire at idle... so slight, you have to concentrate to detect it. However, as the car has now done just under 55k miles, it's fair to assume the plugs could be the culprit. I'd like to change them myself in order to save £100+ labour from the local specialist...

    Changed your Diesel lines ??

I had a small diesel leak , have been recommended to change the lines. Car was serviced yesterday - asked them to look at it - they say there is a leak from the shutoff valve. Couple of threads say you can change the o ring - better option than £130 plus labout to change the valve. Problem...

Changed the ATF on my 97 W210

Did the job today, although I was really a spectator as my mate did most of the work. Its actually quite straightforward, and I took some piccies as well. Most of the piccies are from the rear, looking forward (you can see the exhaust and cat on the right). 1) Make sure the engine and...

I have changed my MAF/air flow meter!

Very easy to do even though I was having a mild heart attack at the time! So, now changed and my car is nearly 100% again - but do I need to have the ECU reset? I noticed that the car was a little slow responding to the new MAF but after a few miles of driving slow - gear changes were...

Brake pads changed on a 'B' service?

Had a B service on a W203 200K 4500 miles ago, today I've a persistant warning about pad wear on LCD display? I kind of assumed that the pads were changed on a 'B' service, can anyone help? should they have been (can't believe I have worn them out in 4.5K). Anyway, assuming that they...

    Dial out numbers changed ?

Hi Guys, Whilst researching the Corel Draw question in my previous thread I ended up on a site that suddenly displayed an agreement stating that if I accepted it the prog would alter my dial out settings to a £1.50 per minute site. I clicked on don't accept but I couldn't get rid of it. I...
