Guys has anyone tried to carbon clean the inside of their engine and if so how much difference has it made?
Also what were the results?
1 Age of your car?
2 What readings did you have before?
3 Readings after the engine clean?
4 And how impressed were you with the results?
Decided to give the car a little spring clean and wax but time flew by and started to get caught out with fading light so had to skip a few steps and get a wax coat on to protect the graft.
Standard snow foam and shampoo
Autosmart red 7 iron and fallout remover followed by tar...
Not for the Merc but a friend has a 525d and an EML is on. Code reading suggests EGR could be clogged. Rather than strip and clean he has found this service
Engine Carbon Clean - Home
Mobile service so will come to your door and decarbonise the intake/EGR etc
Anyone used them before or...
Now the weather seems to have turned better I thought it was time to give the car its spring spruce up after the winter months.
It took me from 10 30am until just gone 5pm to complete and I still have the inside to do tomorrow.
Here's the nerdy bit.

Well my s211 e320 cdi passed its Mot today with flying colours,
I've been looking through some history of the smoke test since 2011.
She ran a smoke test of 1.30kg average in 2011 at 67,000 miles
I had the car remapped before the Mot in 2015 and just after id bought it and only ran it...
Thought I'd give my CLS a once over since it was a nice day.
Started off with a quick pre-rinse with the Karcher, the car was actually washed yesterday so wasn't especially dirty.
Washed with microfibre mitts, Dodo Juice Born to be Mild and two buckets. Rinsed, then dried with...
Has anyone used this company, or one similar to clean the carbon from their cars engine?
There is a discount poster at my work and I'm obviously slightly interested in getting it done. Can't find reviews or anything negative of any real note, so wondering if anyone from here has used or know...
As above, has anyone any experience in this or had it done?
Spotted a post on Facebook for a deal doing it for £80 as opposed to £99 for a short while. Or two cars for £150
Read through their advert and I'm interested in doing it as my car only really gets short runs with a long distance run...
First time cleaning my new c320 only got it Friday gave it a nice coat of collinite and a lick of tyre shine, should see it through the last of the winter before a summer wax.
Hi folks, my SL's headlights have a deposit of something on the inside. It isn't moisture; I suspect it's the result of someone using cheap bulbs in the past, and something's burned off. There's also a dead fly in the o/s light! It looks unsightly and no doubt adversely affects the light output...
A couple of weeks ago I changed the fluid and filter in my 722.6 auto box. I had been very cautious about using an additive to try and relieve annoying luck up clutch judder that has plagued the car since I've had it. Thanks to forum members I narrowed the problem down to sticking valves/...
Hi,
Not sure if someone can advise me here:
Driving down the A9/M9 in torrential rain this morning and the 'Clean Fuel Filter' warning message flashed up on the screen.
I've left the car all day in dry and windy conditions, started it up this evening and no message now.
Phoned up...

Well, basically just as the title says - and my apologies, if it's a silly question - is it safe to remove the cover from what I presume is an ECU, take it home, clean / paint / carbon wrap, etc?
The rest of the bay is looking reasonably good without much effort, but this cover ... well, see...
