Embarrassing moment yesterday when I was delivering some boxes to a friend. He badly cut his finger picking up a box from from the boot of my new e-class estate(S213). Beware, the boot catch (see attached) has a seriously sharp edge!
hi

i managed coast onto a country lane where i waited for next 6 hours till a recovery truck picked me up at 1am in the morning, fun!

Hi all,
Had to remove the engine cover today as I was looking to see if I had a coolant leak anywhere (mysteriously loosing coolant for the last few months)
As I was inspecting everything , just looking, no touching I noticed one of the cables going into the ECU (left connection point) has a...
Hi all
I have a CLS350 with Diamond cut AMG 18" alloys, which were refurbished about 18 months ago. After about 9 months the first signs of milkiness appeared again around one of the hubs and now all four have gone again despite me following a strict cleaning, drying and polishing routine. I...
I'm about to get my AMG 7-spoke (black inlay/diamond-cut face) wheels refurbished and am thinking how to preserve the as-new finish for as long as possible. Previously polished/waxed/3 coats of PoorBoys wheel sealant several times a year plus weekly washing, but I am wondering if there are any...
Well picked up my new car yesterday and drove 30 odd mile before stopping at services for fuel. Did about another 30 mile and the engine cut out on the motorway. Managed to coast to the hard shoulder and engine was cranking but not starting.
Got recovered the last 60 odd mile late last night and...
Hi guys
I have a faint (but noticeable) scratch on the door of my C Classs and wanted to ask what the best way would be to get it removed?
Should I try T-Cut or any other scratch removers? Will that damage the car in the long run? And is this a permanent solution?
Or should I take it to a...
Whiplash plans to 'cut car insurance premiums by £40' - BBC News
So whiplash plans to 'cut car insurance premiums by £40' or increase insurance companies profits? Maybe at least reduce these concerned cold callers who seem to think you've been in a car accident recently.
Hello all .
Got a bit of a problem with the old tank.
The missus was driving today and suddenly without notice the engine cut out, dead as a dodo, and all the dashboard lights are on.
She switched the ignition off and rolled to the side of the road. (without power steering) .
Then apparently...
On may way to work this morning I saw a W218 behind me....that was until it went passed and I saw it was actually a W219 with what looked like 218 headlights.
Am I losing the plot or is this conversion/aftermarket part available ?
The wife decided to kerb the brand new wheel I had replaced 3 months ago when I hit a pot hole. I don't remember the last time either of us kerbs a wheel so I can't complain too much really.
Anybody can recommend a place around Manchester/ Bolton to get this sorted? I have winter wheels so I...
Hello all, its been some time since my last post, but i am looking for referrals for places in or around Hertfordshire (Watford) to get my alloys refurbished at a reasonable price before the car goes back to Mercedes (had it on a 4 year lease)
Also some advice please, is it worth me just powder...
Saw this mentioned on the TV news this morning - wondered how long it would take for it to rear its head again.
Patrick McLoughlin said hiking fuel duty or low-emission taxes “is something the Chancellor will need to look at” in order to reduce toxic levels of nitrogen oxide and prevent...

Just wanted to throw a shout out to Pristine Wheels, who refurbed one of my C63 19" wheels and did an epic job.
They collected the wheel, refurbed it and returned it, for £111.60.
Pics below:-
Absolutely no affiliation with them at all, just really impressed with the job they did :bannana:
So this has happened to me several times (approx 6) in the last two months.
I am driving on the motorway between 40-70 and floor the car, all of a sudden it goes for it and then immediately cuts with a huge jerk. I take my foot of and then try again and it accelerates albeit a little bit...
