This is a stonker of a first post, so please bear with me. Despite their fearsome reputation I rather like the looks of the W210 saloon, and I'm especially fond of the OM606 turbodiesel. So I'm thinking about trying to get a 300TD W210 in a few months, preferably under 150k with MB...
Must say I love the effect Pearlescent on the Porsche :cool: but that Holographic Chrome is just crazy :eek:. Would it even be legal on UK roads?

We have just added a E500 W211 to our driveway to sit alongside a R230 SL500.
These are our ONLY cars........ The E is a posh doggie carrier, and the SL a toy.
Fun times ahead? The SL has already had the fuel tank done, a PSE and is having a ABC shocker...

Bought a tatty 2002 Vito 108cdi to do one job and then pass it on to someone else. Drove ok for first 100 miles, except for (only) key snapping 50 miles from home and needing replacement (by mobile service).
Completed journey ok.
Next day no starter on key-turn. All dash lights come on...
My wifes CLK 230K is locked on our drive minus the battery ready for winter coverup but I cannot open the boot. The metal key insert in our spare key opens the drivers door and fits into the boot lock but does not turn, Can anybody tell me how to get the boot open please !

Somehow it makes perfect sense (running costs, reliability, service, tourer=family space, spec etc)
