To repair a leak on the 2nd cat, it looks like the torsion bar has to be removed to get at it. This makes a big job of a normally easy job of taking off an exhaust pipe for repair or exchange. I'm thinking about replacing the exhaust pipes on my ML55. They are ok right now but I suspect repair/renewal this year. The car is an 02 model but is in great nick with full history and I want to keep it (so does the wife), so I am wondering what to do re stainless steel. Is an old car worth it?
