Hi I'm a new member I have a 2009 E class and just recently the round curser by the gear stick has stopped working when I turn spin it, it works when pressed and shifted to left and right and up and down. It's soo much easier to find contacts etc when it spins. Hopefully that made sense and...
As above.
I need a new pad fitting in my 129. Question is, who's best to do this. I'm not sure how it's done. Eg, is the bonnet taken off to do the job or is it done in situ.
Depending how the job should be done, I'm wondering if it would be better (and maybe cheaper?) getting a detailer...
S212 350 Sport 2010, are the brake pads straightforward to replace. I have a wind back tool, plenty of experience of working on cars (incl built a Cobra!).
Just thought I'd ask as with so many cars now previously simple tasks are now impossible without special tools.
Thought I'd get the Pagid...
Compared to what I am used to I find the brakes a tad soft on my car.
I wonder if it would benefit from a specific type of pad to offer more bite, whilst changing the fluid.
Is there a recommended pad route?
(Ive done braided hoses before on other cars and never really felt a...
Hi all, front pads are close to the limit on the clk. Time to change them before I kiss the discs goodbuy too. I have always changed them on previous cars, so decided to give these a go. Is it relatively easy on these? What is the procedeure?
Hi all
Got my car over the weekend as a Used Approved Mercedes vehicle (not that it means anything lol).
I am very fussy and knowledgeable about my cars and pressed for as many things as I could from them (I have since noticed in the week that has passed whilst the car was being prepped...
Hi,
I'm just about to change the front set of discs and pads on my W211. Shouldn't be a problem however I will need to do the rears soon too.
Is there any difference in the procedure?
Just received this tool today having ordered this on eBay (#271316165272) for the Princely sum of £34.19 including postage. Greatly discounted since the RRP is around £60.
Fed up with a hand winding disc pad spreader I bought from Halfords a few years ago which never fitted the disc calipers...
This may be of use to anyone upgrading to Windows 8.1.
On both my pc & laptop after upgrading to 8.1 the number pad to the right of the keyboards failed to work properly, after much searching I found how to resolve the problem.
Go into the control panel & then into ease of access centre...
I have fitted non oem front pads that do not have a chamfer on leading and trailing edges like the oem ones. Is this the cause of my slight judder please? I have already remounted the new discs with great care.
My 8 year old has recently bought herself an I Pad mini.
Sadly today it went for a burton over the balcony and the screen has cracked. It's all still in place and also works but for obvious reasons we would like (if possible) to repair it.
Any idea's?
Hi, having recently bought an SLK, like it but have 3 issues, so thought I would put them in separate threads.
I thought I would check the front pads. They have a few K left on them but decided to change before the bad weather. Should be simple but!!! The calliper is of the pin type, so drift...
I wonder if you could help and recommend a good internet site where I can pick up some front and rear pads for my 2004 R171, I'm looking for a quality service rather than cheap (ie ebay) :D. Many thanks in advance for your help.
Changing discs and pads on my c class 203 with sport pack, how do I remove the retaining pins that go through the caliper to keep the pads in place?
Cheers in advance
Hi
I need to replace my brake pads and discs, I am probably going to get after market ones from ECP rather than MB.
I was just wondering if I should go for Pagid or Textar?
Not much between the price, is either better than the other?
The ECP site recommends Pagid.
Thanks
Hi!
I have had a search but can't find this - hope that isn't just due to operator error!
I have recently got a CL55 AMG and seem to have a bit of a squeal from the brakes (only notice it with all the windows down in the current weather!). Have had a look and the pads still seem to have...
My pads / suspension shims on the rear have 4 dots on them so I guess there 17mm high. Is there a thicker pad available for the rear suspension set up on a w202.
