Someone sent me these rims in an e-mail (just the pics, not the actual rims:crazy:) anyone throw some light on the subject?
Are they Merc. rims or an aftermarket styling to look like an updated version of the older monoblock style?
Quite like the look of them and I think a would look good on...
Im after a set of genuine Merc 16inch alloys (style unimportant) with good tyres to fit my C220, im on 17inch AMG reps at the moment and they dont suit the Elegance suspension height!
Have a '94 SL. The rim sizes are 18x8 on the front and 18x8.5 on the back. They are the regular AMG reps you see on a lot of SL's from this era.

Front - 235/40 18
Rear - 265/35 18
I think the correct sizes would be....
Front -...

Currently have Ankaa 17inch fitted so if it was this...

Hi all,
I've just bought the dearest wife a 2006/56 (facelift) E320 CDi Avantgarde, and the wheels that are on it are as appealing as wallpaper on your legs.
I've seen a set of W212 new-shape E-Class wheels on fleabay, which are..
2 Fronts 8 x 18" et48
2 Rears 9 x 18" et54
The question...
Given that I'm unlikely to find sand tyres for the W202, I'm going to go with the good old fashioned "cheapest possible" methodology.
Does anyone have a set of 4 (preferrably 5) steel rims with some legal thread? I still need to get out of Europe... so do need some legality in them :p...
One of the R129 SLs I am considering is currently fitted with the two-piece AMG 18in staggered wheel, apparently in excellent condition, tyre brand and condition as yet unknown. As a bit of an OEM stickler I would prefer to run the standard 8-hole 16in wheel.
If I do buy the car, are there any...

I will shortly have a spare set of 16" Elnath rims - 7J ET37 from a 2001 W203 C270CDi Elegance. They need full refurbishment as the first owner of my car must have frequently parked acousticly - they are kerbed but refurbishable by a reputable company like Lepsons. If you go to Mercedes alloy...

They look like modern versions of the old school 15 hole merc rims - but I can't find...
Will 195 65 15 tyres fit on wheels described as 205 tyre width ,50 aspect ratio,15 rim diameter & look ok, or pathetically too narrow ? Anyone tried it ? I'd be reluctant to buy any 205 tyres because iv only recently bought new 195 michelins.

I've currently got factory fitted 16's on my w208 and have an opportunity to do a swap for quite a nice pair of genione merc 18's (225/40/18)
I'd like to know how the ride would differ and if it would have a dramatic effect to the cars appearance. i don't want it to look like it's on stilts...
a) Can I fit 225/40 tyres on my 8.5J x 18 rims (standard tyre 255/35)....
Reason...I want to fit winter tyres on the rear of my CLK without having to purchase new rims...225/40/18 would then match the tyres on the front.
b) Is this advisable?
