I have a 1995 124, with 7.5"17 amg rims, the tyre size on them are 235 45 17 and they rub on plastic/ arch when going over bumps or with load.what is the proper tyre size i need taking into consideration i am going to be lowering this car shortly. I was thinking 215 45 17. Would this be ok.

My 1998 W202 elegance has the bumper trim & rubbing strips painted a slightly different colour to the rest of the car bodywork. Does anyone know how to find out the colour/colour code for the rubbing strips other than from the dealers? The car is 189 emerald black metallic.
